Lightbulb Media is a national creative production house based on the Western Slope of Colorado, dedicated to telling stories that cut through the noise. From high-altitude documentaries to polished brand films, they bring a cinematic eye to every project.
I worked alongside the founder to create a comprehensive social media audit and strategy that positioned them as the experts in the business.
Discovery
While working with Lightbulb Media, we held two discovery calls to kick off the project — the goal was to get a full picture of their scope of work, their brand values, and what they stood for as a company. These conversations gave me a clear, grounded understanding of what the Lightbulb Media team needed to elevate their social media content and strategy across the board.
Audit
I began by auditing Lightbulb Media's active social channels — reviewing posting cadence, engagement, interactions, and audience/follower base. These findings gave me a clear picture of the type of content they were putting out, along with growth opportunities and quick wins to improve performance across their accounts.
Alongside this, I conducted a competitor analysis of local competitors to identify gaps in the market and pinpoint where Lightbulb Media could continue to level up.
Strategy
Once my audit was complete, I dove straight into building a social media strategy. It was built on a strong foundation of brand overview, tone of voice, customer personas, and target audience — and from these four pillars, I crafted a strategy that aligned with Lightbulb Media's goals and ambitions: growing their audience nationwide and pushing optimized content that truly highlights their core pillars of education, awareness, and craft.
In addition to delivering a comprehensive audit and strategy, I created an example monthly content calendar and social copy to reflect the strategy I'd built — acting as a roadmap for implementation.
